Ideally located in the heart of the Loire castles, in the Anjou-Touraine national park, allowing you to access the many major historic sites of the Loire valley in no time. the surrounding countryside will invite you to escape to the forest, to stroll along the water, to discover here and there a vineyard lodge of a washhouse ... fishermen will not be outdone, they will be able to tease the stud, the roach, the minnow ... in the manse, the vienne or the loire. children will appreciate the proximity of the futuroscope, the zoo of doué-la-fontaine and the aquarium of touraine ... depending on the season, gourmets can freely enjoy the fruits of the orchard.

We loved every minute of our stay in this house and in this area. The house is so well-appointed, we enjoyed the woodburner stove on colder days, and we could sleep with windows wide open because it is so quiet at night. Only the beautiful bird song will wake you up in the morning. House is very comfortable, beds were great, kitchen had everything we needed - and more! Owners were super friendly and helpful. We couldn't wish for a better place. Cycling was excellent in the area, as were historical castles and chateaus.

Perfectly clean, the hosts are wonderful and you have everything you need.
Easy reach of several chateaus but car is essential for everything. Supermarket just a 5 min drive.
House is really fun and full of character and charm. The drought had destroyed any grass on the lawns but there was still lots of colour in the garden and the ping pong table was very popular!
Worth knowing:
All of the upstairs rooms involve using awkward steps. Our daughter has slight mobility issues and struggled.
You have to walk through the office (downstairs bedroom) to get to the upstairs rooms and bathroom.
The only bath/shower is the en-suite to the main bedroom. Lots of moving through each other’s bedrooms so just make sure you are comfortable with sharing space!
Also worth knowing that there is only one very small oven (smaller than a microwave) and two small gas rings. There are two additional electric rings you can plug in and the BBQ is excellent.
We loved it once we got our head around a slightly different way of living. Great fun!

We were welcomed by the owners with a lovely package of home-made jelly and lavender sachet. The interior is decorated tastefully and beautifully. Our bed was comfortable with clean, fresh-smelling linens. From top to bottom, everything was super clean. We enjoyed each day, most with sunshine but we had a warm wood-burning heater, plus central heating for the few cooler days. The large garden has fruit trees, roses, strawberries, raspberries, irises and much more. It would be a perfect play area for children with a swing set and small sand area for the younger ones. There are outside dining areas in sun and shade plus lounge chairs. I would love to be there now!!!
