Charming and cosy room in a historic house with very helpful and welcoming staff: the bed was comfy, the shower good and it's nice to stay somewhere that doesn't look like everywhere else. The fruit and kettle/coffee maker in the room are a nice touch. Because we left on a Sunday, late checkout was 'when your train leaves' (up to 8pm!)
We plan to come back.
The stairs are on the steep side but there's a small lift if you have luggage; really, it's what you'd expect from an older building like this.

Kitchen and bathroom can be cleaner and beds can be tidier but overall still comfortable.

Location was excellent.
1.The biggest pain point was parking. The Booking.com should be updated real time basis on the site. We were informed about unavailability of parking post booking. We booked this property because of parking only.
2. Kitchen amenities were not adequately clean. Specially, Electric Kettle should be replaced immediately. Would recommend replacement of all utensils.
3. The bigger room was not well lit, given long roof height.
4. Overall the property and rooms are really nice and give ancient look but they require thorough maintenance and some more cleanliness. For e.g. the mirror in the big room needs to be cleaned.
5. The washroom needs air fresheners. There was continuous foul smell of dampness. Put some hooks also for hanging clothes in the washroom
