The room was clean, comfortable and very warm with all we needed. A very good night's sleep and a lovely, well cooked breakfast in the morning. Parking outside the hotel was an absolute bonus.

The staff were really nice and the hot breakfast was great. Good location walking distance to shops, a little further to castle and jail etc. the single rooms are pretty good and the heating was great, wasn't cold at all.
I understand that it's cold and damp in Scotland in the winter so there was a little mould on the windows, also the shower, Luke warm at best and no shower pressure at all pretty much just a trickle. The beds are comfy but mattress is very soft I prefer firm mattress but that's personal preference nothing to do with the hotel. Apart from this everything else was okay 👍
