The location is superb, especially for enjoying breathtaking sunsets. The hotel’s thoughtful design features three distinct public areas—the wellness pool, infinity pool, and beachfront—each well organized and never feeling overcrowded.
The spa provides a wide range of treatments and massages, and is an absolute must-try.
Rooms are bright, spacious, and beautifully integrated with the surrounding nature. On a practical note, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.
Service is outstanding, with staff who are attentive, responsive, and always available to assist with any request.
If you are looking for an upscale, serene escape in Koh Lanta, Layana is an excellent choice.
The variety of food options may be limited for guests with dietary restrictions or food intolerances.

The views where beautiful easy access to the beach and local bars and restaurants. Very friendlyand accommodating staff. Beautifully maintained grounds, pool and facilities.
Loved it all, if you where looking for busy and nightlife not the location for you. Very relaxed.

We had been recommended to stay at the Layana - and we were looking forward to staying 5 x nights and had pre-paid for the accommodation. Unfortunately when we arrived, it wasn't what we expected. It's a small boutique hotel, which we really love, and it's right on the beach, but the pool area is so tiny and all crammed in, all daybeds are right next to each other, looking across a very small pool directly at each other, and they are all in the shade and there's not enough for the 53 rooms of the hotel. There are about 8 daybeds on the beach, but these are all taken very quickly before breakfast so you need to get up early and grab one. There is an outdoor lounge next to the pool, and a small smoking open-area next to that - so there isn't a lot of grounds/space around the pool to get sun, relax, have privacy and not sit on top of another couple. Being an Adults only hotel is what we wanted, but we found most of the guests were return guests and knew each other and had their designated lounges and it felt very orchestrated, and also very crammed in without much choice. It's a beautiful hotel, the grounds are lovely, and the rooms are fine - even though we were placed at the very back of the hotel and didn't get an outside garden area with daybeds. The breakfast was incredible, great quality and lots of choice - but again, you have to try and get a table in the shade as everyone has already taken their favourite table, so if you don't get there early - you sit in the sun whilst eating. Not being able to find a sun lounge to spend the day or a breakfast table felt very rushed and pre-planned, so we didn't feel relaxed. We actually checked out 3 x days early and went to another hotel. We think the Layana would suit an older couple looking for quiet time in the shade and are ok with a small pool area and restaurant area.
A very small pool area all in the shade and not much space, nor privacy to chat and very quiet... as beautiful as it is, it's a very small space, and small pool. Getting a daybed on the beach means you have to get up early to 'hold' one, and it feels like you can't relax to do things at your own pace when you're ready. This hotel suits an older couple looking for quiet time in the shade and are ok with a very small pool area and restaurant area.
