About this apartment rental
We offer a beautiful apartment in Dresden near Pillnitz, in a quiet location at the edge of the forest. An ideal place for hikers and families looking for relaxation in nature! The Meixmühle is a central point for hiking in the beautiful Schönfelder Hochland!
For example, you reach after about 25 minutes walk, through the summer cool pleasant Friedrichgrund, the castle Pillnitz and the nearby station of the Elbdampfer. From here you can choose by boat to Saxon Switzerland or Meissen your destinations. Or take the bus and explore the Dresden area!
The Schönfelder Hochland can also be explored from us! For inquisitive people there are in the village the small farmer museum Reitzendorf! Many trails are also passable with the stroller and thus also for the little ones a nice experience.
The apartment has two bedrooms (1 double bed and an extra bed for 2 persons), a bathroom with shower and toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. TV and Wi-Fi are available in all rooms! If required, we can provide you with a travel cot and a high chair available.
Also dogs are welcome with us!
A covered bicycle parking space we can also provide you.

Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal in der Meixmühle und es ist und bleibt ein Idyll in der Nähe von Dresden. Und Familie Friebl sind perfekte Gastgeber, welche auch auf Kleinigkeiten achtet, dass man sich wohl fühlt.

Gelungenes Abtauchen in eine eigentlich längst vergessene Welt.
Findet es selbst heraus....freundliche und bodenständige Besitzer...
Vielleicht ein Mückenschutz und eine Auflage für die Matratzen einpacken ,wer es wie ich mit den Knochen hat...

Wer Ruhe sucht und Kontakt zu anderen Menschen eher meiden möchte, für den ist die Ferienwohnung mitten im Wald genau richtig. Wir waren mit vier Personen dort. Schlüsselübergabe und Abgabe erfolgte komplett anonym. Die Wohnung war sauber aber doch eher klein. Im Schlafzimmer steht ein kleiner Tisch, an dem gegessen und gespielt werden kann, die Kinder sitzen dabei auf Klappstühlen. Die beiden anderen Stühle eignen sich nicht zum längeren Sitzen, die Verweildauer in der Wohnung hält man automatisch so kurz wie möglich. Kleiderschränke fehlen, die Betten kraken recht laut und frische Frühstücksbrötchen gibt es nicht, da ein Bäcker nicht zeitnah erreichbar ist. WLAN ist vorhanden, die Internetbandbreite ist jedoch begrenzt, was im Urlaub für uns aber nicht so dramatisch war. Nach 30min Fußweg erreicht man Pillnitz, mit dem Auto geht es nicht wesentlich schneller. Die Nähe zu Dresden und zur Sächsischen Schweiz hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
Das Gebäude gegenüber der Ferienwohnung ist eine Baustelle, das Lokal hat überwiegend geschlossen. Auf dem Gelände ist überall noch sehr viel reparaturbedürftig. Grill mit Kohle wurde angeboten (per E-Mail), beides war aber nicht auffindbar. Es wurde auf ein Pavillon mit Stühlen hingewiesen, auch der war nicht zu finden, es war alles Baustelle oder es stand "privat" davor, von einer Nachfrage per E-Mail haben wir aber abgesehen.
Die vielen Kleinigkeiten führen insgesamt zu dieser eher kritischen Bewertung. Insgesamt gibt es von uns ein "okay", also eine mittlere Bewertung.
