A wonderful hotel next to the Cathedral, with private parking behind electric gates. The property was full of historical charm. Staff were exceptionally attentive and polite. Room service breakfast was prompt and perfect. Complimentary gifts were a lovely touch as well.

The trees to park under, made a mess on the car but they did provide everything to wash it off!

The property itself was very good, the room was nice and very clean. Location close to the cathedral and castle was excellent. Continental breakfast in a bag delivered to the room was good.
Major problem that although there was good secure parking - the parking itself was under mature trees. Both mornings we came out to find our car very liberally splatted with bird droppings which was disgusting to deal with. The hotel obviously knows about this as there are 2 buckets of water and a sponge provided for guests to spend a ‘pleasant’ quarter of an hour de-messing their car .
