The nature and vibe. Had great energy.

It’s a bit dated. Lots of effort had gone into making it everything you wanted but at the end of the day it didn’t feel like good value for money. It was clean but felt old and wasn’t cheap.

Disappointing customer service. During our stay, we had a couple of issues which were not resolved appropriately. First, we were put in touch with their trusted scooter rental company. The guy rented us a bike that was faulty. When we noticed, we raised it with reception staff. They called but since it was after 7:30pm, nobody took responsibility. Given that the rental is a service they offer, they should have taken responsibility and resolved the situation. They didn’t. Secondly, on our departure, we were charged 500B due to a missing laundry bag. We did not take it but there was no room for us to get away without paying it. They pressurise us to pay since they were holding the taxi, with some other clients waiting whilst I tried to explain. It didn’t feel right to have everyone else waiting so I ended up paying. One more time, the hotel did not take responsibility or tried to understand the situation. Finally. During our stay, there were 2 things that affected our comfort. There was a wedding organised within hotel grounds, taking up the beach space and staff attention. There was also some noise and people walking around. That day our room didn’t get done and we had to chase it. We had to wait outside the room, wasting time whilst they came to do it. Then, the pool schedule is very limited. It closes at 6, right when the sun sets. Which for us is a great time to enjoy a peaceful swim without the heat. Overall, they have nice facilities and a lot of staff, but I was highly disappointed by how little and efficiency we got every time we had some queries as well as the treatment we got. For a 5 stars hotel, it was below standard. It was an expensive stay compared to the comfort and the attentiveness we expected to enjoy.
