Puddle Duck Lodge

The place was great quiet, beautiful and full of character. The room had everything I needed plenty of coffee tea and milk. Breakfast came in a basket hamper with everything hot toast butter and home made marmalade wonderful.

Parking was allocated, the garden had plenty of places to sit without being in anyone else’s space. Hotel is clean and tidy with friendly owners.

The location was perfect and the room utterly charming. The facilities in the room were as expected and the place was spotless. The days i was visiting bowness were particularly hot and an mobile air conditioner was in the room - what a godsend and very much appreciated.

The breakfast was as stated a basket delivered to my room. First day that was perfect - great selection and delicious. However the day i was leaving flushed up a less than best breakfast service. My train was at 8am and that is when the first breakfast time could be selected. This meant I didn't have anything to eat before leaving. And no offer was made to accommodate. I also had a most odd thing happen. I bought a carton of goats milk (allergy based) and when I was out the first day, it was taken out the room. I'd only bought it that morning! This meant I could have a cup of tea when i got back after my day trip. These were small things but did leave me very foxed as to why anyone would remove something i'd bought.

Good choice delivered to your room as ordered and on time.

Excellent location. lovely marine themed room, spacious & light. Very pretty and well kept garden to lo0k out on. Good quality ingredients in continental breakfast.

Double bed could have been a bit wider.
