Staff were excellent, efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect - away from being squeezed in the village of Grasmere, but within easy walking distance, and right next to a bus stop.
The rooms are spread out over several joined-up buildings and so it's a trek up and down stairs and along zigzagging corridors from reception.

Food is great. Breakfast and dinner. Service excellent.
Nice room. In the hot weather we needed to have windows open. A little noisy on the front next to a busy main road.

The Swan is in a lovely location surrounded by beautiful hillsides.Just a 10 minute walk from Grasmere village.Really stunning. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and is immaculate.The food was excellent my salmon was cooked to perfection so big compliments to the chef.Staff are very pleasant,polite and friendly and work very hard.A special mention to Connor the Assistant Manager who is a very lovely,well mannered and highly professional young gentleman.An asset to the hotel. It was a joy to spend a couple of days here and we would highly recommend it to others.Many thanks.☺️
Nothing really maybe a little warm in the bedroom at night,but we were on the top floor so a little expected.

Room dated and the whole place could have been cleaner. Digital TV in the room did not work .
