We booked this hotel with high expectations: glowing reviews, a premium price point, and a beautiful location all suggested a relaxing and quality escape. While the scenery and dining were lovely, much of our stay was marked by frustration, unexpected charges, and unequal guest treatment. 🌅 Location & Convenience The natural setting was breathtaking—peaceful, with unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. The hotel is a bit outside the city, which we liked, and there’s a bus stop directly in front that takes you straight to Málaga centre. Ideal for exploring. 🍽️ Dining Experience Dinner was a true highlight—freshly made, flavorful, and consistently high quality every evening. Huge thanks to the kitchen staff for their excellent work. Unfortunately, half-board came with strange restrictions: only water was included, while basic soft drinks like juice or soda cost €5 per person, per meal. Since we don’t drink alcohol, this charge felt excessive and unfair. 🏨 Room Disappointment We paid extra for a “soundproof sea view” room. What we got was a partial ocean view—and full highway exposure, with noticeable traffic noise. Being next to the lift also meant hearing every housekeeping cart and guest moving by. The amenities were minimal: only shampoo and shower gel provided. No conditioner or body lotion—items we’ve received even at lower-rated properties for less money. 🛬 Check-In & Service We arrived early and jet-lagged, but were told the room would be ready shortly. Hours passed with no update. No guidance was offered at check-in about hotel services or layout. We learned of the unusually early 10:30 a.m. checkout via a small printout—not from staff. 🏖️ Pool & Beach Access Despite an official 10 a.m. pool opening, guests reserved sunbeds with towels from 8 a.m., and staff didn’t intervene. By the time we arrived, none were available—though many sat unused for hours. The beachfront was rocky and underwhelming. Although the hotel advertised umbrellas and sunbeds for guests, they were only accessible to all-inclusive bookings—not half-board. 🚗 Extra Charges & Towel Fees Parking was advertised as free through Agoda, but we were charged €12 per day. Pool towels required a £10 deposit, and if you wanted to exchange for a fresh one, it cost €1 non-refundable per swap. It felt like every amenity came with a hidden catch. --- Final Reflection We chose half-board to enjoy the hotel and the local culture—not to be penalized. Unfortunately, our choice seemed to classify us as second-tier guests. If you book all-inclusive through an agency, your experience may be very different. But if you opt for flexibility, prepare for limited access, extra fees, and less attentive service. The location and dinner saved the stay—but the rest left us disappointed. ---

The hotel had just reopened so some things not open plus it was February so a bit cold lots of mess on my balcony but too cold to go out there anyway all in all its a good enough hotel 2 or 3 restaurants nearby but a bit out of benalmadena
