Location is very good

The cleaning was very poor

Great location. Large, comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. Good shower with good water pressure. Window that opened for fresh air. Bonus points for the receptionist (Wang) who checked me in - extremely efficient and very pleasant gentleman.

Minor issues but perhaps something the hotel would like to think about. 1. Connecting door. As a woman travelling alone a connecting door to the next room makes me nervous but also noise comes through the door (not the walls) from the adjoining room. I would have appreciated knowing that the rooms had a connecting door. 2. The bed mattress appeared to be new and although it was comfortable there was no mattress protector so I could feel the lumpy pattern on the mattress. I would have thought that from the hotel's point of view it would be sensible to have mattress protectors on the beds. 3. A message I sent asking for confirmation of items in the room was never replied to, and I was told twice that the hotel system showed that I hadn't paid for the room, once on check-in and again on check-out 3 days later, so hotel comms obviously has a problem. I believe the hotel has undergone renovation/change of ownership recently so hopefully that problem will be rectified soon.

Perfect location within a walking distance of Salzburg HBF and bus station.

Construction and repair work was going on. There should be at least free supply of water bottles.

The AirCo in the room did not work properly. It was not summer yet but already too warm in the room. This hotel is heavily visited by large travel groups which gives the typical dynamic, like noise, breakfast pressure and waiting times. Both running belts in the gym were damaged and did not work properly. The breakfast had a usual high hotel price (26 EUR) but was not recommendable (low quality, poor variety and healthy food). For such a price I got significantly better breakfast in other hotels.
