Atmosphere was good staff were very pleasant and helpful, location was very good and close to bus route into Cambridge. For a hotel I thought the cost of drinks and food in the restaurant was not too expensive.
The things which let the hotel down where small but noticeable, decor in the room we had was dated and could do with a refresh, although an internet connected to was in the room there where no USB sockets anywhere in the room, even though 2 people where staying, only one set of towels where left in the room had too request a second set on both days.
Lack of choice on restaurant menu.

I liked the staff they were friendly. I liked the pool, breakfast selection was good, room was okay, location
The bed was really uncomfortable so we did not sleep well. The dining room for breakfast was chaotic and there were no tables in the dining room. We were told we could have breakfast in the bar area - we decided to wait as it was not ideal. I think a booking system would help. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this has never happened before and yet it happened twice here. It is the organisation of this - I would have happily prebooked a table to avoid this. I was disappointed that the hotel was cashless, had I known this I would have gone somewhere else. I like to have a choice of how I pay and to refuse legal tender - I find it infuriating. I don't understand what the problem with cash is.
