Our room was lovely, very big with a role top bath and also a separate shower. Amazing value for money. All staff were very friendly and efficient.
Lovely breakfast with plenty to choose from.

The room was larger than expected for it was advertised as a small double. Beautifully decorated. excellent bathroom with everything provided - plenty of towels, toiletries etc. Good steam iron and full size ironing board. good quality hairdryer, kettle, coffee pod machine. water etc Also a parking token was provided for the public carpark round the corner from the hotel. Had excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant. The waiting staff and breakfast team who were on duty when we checked out were very helpful with cases etc.
There was no reception desk for us to check in. We arrived after a very long journey, over 7 hours and whilst we appreciate it was a busy Sunday late afternoon in the restaurant area no one was available to see to us. The bar staff were friendly but the manager, who we needed in order to check in was not very friendly, rather dismissive and kept us waiting by the crowded bar area with our luggage and belongings until he took us to our room, Was rather terse and gave us the impression we were a nuisance! Perhaps he needed a bit of customer training in charm!

Close to the city center - the restaurant food looks great - old typical British building - confortable bed
Dusty room visible on the wall, bedroom lamp. The coffee machine wasn't cleaned, no kettle, the blanket on the bed was stained..
