The staff were all very professional, cheerful, helpful. In particular Cezar, the concierge helped make our holiday good by obtaining tickets for us thatcwe had been unable to get on line. Also one of the Duty Managers who dealt with an issue we had, in an extremely professional and generous manner. The hotel itself is lovely especially the breakfast room. The treatment I had at the spa was very good. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant/cafe was superb. The location is perfect. The room we had was a good size, with very comfortable bed and pillows. The room had all you could need.
There were a few things in the room that showed a bit of lack of attention to detail. Such as, the plug socket loose in the wall, the radiator in the shower leaked, there was what appeared to be a burn hole in the net curtain, there was a bit of dust. However, these were very minor things just to advise the hotel about.

The hotel staff were very helpful and polite! the breakfast was very good. The coffee/lunch restaurant inside was really lovely and the food was amazing. The location was also perfect for seeing all the central sights in Amsterdam.
sometimes there was a que for breakfast, but the staff handled this very well and had everyone seated as quickly as possible.

Hotel location and nice interior architecture (for the most part).
The hotel experience was disappointing overall, with service falling short both at reception and with housekeeping. At check-in, the reception staff seemed disinterested and far from welcoming, though we did appreciate being allowed an early check-in as our room was ready. After the first night on an uncomfortably hard bed, we requested an extra cushion, a mattress topper, or anything to make it bearable. We were assured the issue would be swiftly addressed. Unfortunately, nothing was done. Following the second night, we returned to find our room had not been cleaned. We went back to reception, asked them to send housekeeping, and again requested a softer mattress option for our final night. For the third time, nothing happened. Another major frustration was access to the rooms. The only way up or down was a small, crowded elevator that was constantly busy. When we asked about using the stairs, we were told they weren’t an option. They were hidden from sight, with no signage at all. Only with the help of a handyman did we eventually find an unmarked door leading to the stairwell, which finally allowed us to get out. This raised serious concerns about fire safety, as proper evacuation routes were neither accessible nor clearly marked. The hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, The White Room, was also underwhelming. The menu lacked creativity, and desserts were especially disappointing. The saving grace of our stay was the bar, The Tailor, where the staff were both talented and genuinely friendly. The cocktails and service there stood out as a highlight. We left the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky with sore backs and even sorer impressions. A hotel that claims to be five-star delivered, at best, the standard of a mediocre four-star with two-star service.
