I've stayed here twice now, and I'll keep coming back. The attention to detail in architecture and design by Marcel Wanders is to die for. He brought everything I love and put it into one building...quirky art, the area's history, and books upon books of information to read and look at. It was moody, its was sexy, it was curated to perfection.
The location is perfect, as you're away from the hustle and bustle. But not too far away, so all of the main sights are within walking distance.
The staff were very nice and accommodating when we arrived. And the breakfast included in our stay had so much to select from. All in all, we were happy with our stay.

Well positioned and had all the facilities we needed Comfortable with wonderful canal view and spacious room
Carpet needed a good vacuum! The hand basin to clean teeth and wash hands eg after using the toilet etc is right beside the bed inside the main room. A modern but unpleasant design that I dislike and experienced the same at a UK hotel a week ago. Consequentially for all the good points above I would look elsewhere another time.

Good location—walkable to shops and tram locations. Staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast and room service delicious with generous portions. Rooms cleaned daily along with new linens and restock of mini bar. Central courtyard/garden lovely.
Shower and sink in middle of room needs full screening so when sharing a room one person does not have to leave for other to shower and vice versa.

Location is great. Right in the heart of the city.
While I was there for ADE business, I didn’t expect to have a DJ playing super loud music right below my bedroom window until 11pm every single night. It was not possible to either work in my room, or relax before 11pm at night. I also ordered room service for breakfast one morning and everything arrived stone cold. There are much better 5 star hotels in the area who can find the balance between participating in ADE and maintain adequate comfort levels for their guests. I did contact the hotel about my concerns but received a generic response.
