About this house rental
Perched on a bluff at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Grandma’s Beach Cottage offers unobstructed white water views that cannot be improved upon. She sure knew how to pick em’ - this house could not be better placed! It is one of only three homes located inside the private gated entrance to Irish Beach’s exclusive beach access and looks right down the beach to the western most point of the lower 48 – the Point Arena Lighthouse. Grandma was very unpretentious and so is her house; she built the first home in Irish Beach with 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, constructed of solid core redwood (no paneling here!) with lots of windows to soak up the view and a fully equipped kitchen. Grandma didn’t want us kids sitting around a TV when there was exploring to be done outside, nor was she going to be inside doing laundry. You will not find a TV or laundry facility in this house! She didn’t really know how to use a computer, but yes our house is equipped with wifi. I think Grandma must have been a romantic, because her house sure puts you in the mood. With a glass of wine in front of the fire and the constant sound of the crashing waves, honey by my side, well... I just can’t think of anything better! If you love long walks on the beach, and natures wondrous scenery I think you too will love Grandma’s Beach Cottage.

this is our 5 time at Grandma's cottage. It's so relaxing and homey. We love the view and the beach access. The kitchen is always stocked well with everything we need. We played games, listened to music and just chilled out. We went to Mendocino town twice. Loved Good Friend's café. Coffee and baked goods were wonderful. Loved the shops. On Friday we went to Fort Bragg and ate at the Harborview Bistro. The food was as great as the service. We then took the Shunk train to Glen Blair Bar. That was such a treat. We love this cottage and all that it has to offer.
