Relax at this spacious chalet on 5-acres with stunning views of Cattaraugus County. The Rooster's Den is a large, open concept 6-bedroom / 3-bathroom chalet with tasteful decor and room for up to 17 guests in a private, family-friendly setting. Enjoy all the comforts of home with modern amenities.
The Space:
Located in a private country setting, this 2,700 square foot chalet is perfectly located just 7 miles from the center of Ellicottville or 8 miles from the slopes and golf courses at Holiday Valley and Holimont Ski Resorts.
The Chalet was built in 2007 and has five bedrooms plus a loft. It has a large two-story Great Room with a wall of windows and open concept floor plan into the kitchen/dining rooms. There are 3 full bathrooms and 6 bedrooms, sleeping up to 17 guests. The outdoor deck adds over 800 square feet of added living space overlooking the tear drop shaped pond. The bright walkout basement is complete with a pool table, large flat screen TV, built in bar with beer fridge, and games nook. At the end of your busy day, have a soak in the covered outdoor hot tub and enjoy the view!
Outdoor amenities include a large deck, outdoor firepit, hot tub and BBQ grill - propane and firewood all provided.
Inside, enjoy a games room with billiards, video games and board games for all ages. Free Parking, Wifi, and Air Conditioning are included. Once you stay at the Rooster's Den, you'll want to come back again and again!
Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the house and amenities during their stay. A personalized door entry code will be sent prior to your arrival for easy access.
The Neighborhood:
This chalet can be enjoyed all year-round. The area is famous for its winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and snowmobiling. In summer there is golf, tennis, hiking, and challenging mountain biking in the immediate area. Holiday Valley Resort nearby has added a Sky High Adventure Park and 3 outdoor pools with a water slide.
Getting Around:
The properties is just 7 miles from downtown Ellicottville and 8 miles from Holiday Valley & Holimont.
For winter rentals, snow tires and all-wheel or four-wheel drive on your vehicle is highly recommended as there is a steep hill on our street (plowed and sanded regularly).
Other Things to Note:
AWD/4WD is recommended on your vehicle in the winter months due to a steep access road. Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together. Warm, charming, and close to everything Ellicottville offers.

We love this house! It accommodates 14 of us comfortably. Plenty of parking. The owner responded immediately when we texted him about a small issue. Not far from town. Great place!!

Property was very nice. Secluded. Very helpful to have wood readily available. Hot tub was clean and nice. Overall cleanliness of the home was not great. More than half of the dishes we pulled out to use were dirty - had food on them. Toilet seat in upstairs smaller bathroom was hanging off; we had to reattach. Lots of spider webs on walls/ceilings, corners. Water pressure in kitchen sink very low and the sprayer stuck, causing water to spray everywhere. Bad smell upon very walking into the garage entrance.
