Where to begin...we came to Newport Beach because my husband was having back surgery. From the very first interaction, our host, Ray (Cordano), was incredibly responsive, helpful, and pleasant to work with - especially as we had some unexpected hiccups with the surgery scheduling. We had very specific needs due to my husband's limitations after surgery, and I'm so thankful for the heads-up that Ray gave me about calling the resort two weeks prior to our stay to request certain accommodations (e.g., not all of the buildings on the resort have elevators). The staff at the resort was exceptional as well and made sure we got a unit that did not require an elevator or steps AND had a nice view of the ocean since my husband was going to be stuck in the villa pretty much the entire trip. Our unit as beautiful, clean, and stocked with plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The spa was heavenly, the workout facility spectacular, and the resort itself was conveniently close to a grocery store, pharmacy, and a quick drive to major malls and excellent dining establishments. Everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would HIGHLY recommend Ray and Marriott Newport Coastal Villas! We will definitely work with Ray again and enjoy another stay here!

We stayed at a location with which we were familiar--Marriott Newport Coast Villas. It fully met expectations. The owner was very helpful in make the stay successful as this was my first VRBO stay and it involved adding weeks to a stay I had booked using my own ownership interest. Good communication with the owner was critical and made things go smoothly.

This was our 8th year at the property. It was easy to book through the host. We love the amenities (especially when our kids were little), beauty, cleanliness and the location - between Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, plus it's only a short walk to the trails in beautiful Crystal Cove State Park. The resort provides a shuttle to Crystal Cove Beach, but it is also just a short drive to other beaches. Guests receive a discount to play golf at the beautiful Pelican Hill golf courses. The villa has everything our little family needs - two bedrooms, two bathrooms (plus two sofa beds) and a full kitchen. A couple of nitpicks: 1) Primary Suite. There is no separation between the primary bedroom and bathroom which, even with the refurbishment, was not corrected. I am not sure why Marriott thinks people want that. 2) Pools. I do wish they had an adult's only pool and would enforce the age restriction on hot tubs (babies in hot tubs - ick). Other than that, it's just such a beautiful, well-kept property in a convenient location. It's really hard to beat for the area! We absolutely love it!
