About this house rental
Our family has spent over 30 years of vacations at Newport Beach in Balboa and we plan to continue the family tradition. We own a private residence on Peninsula Point and offer it for weekly rentals in the summer and weekly/monthly rentals in the winter.
The house was completely rebuilt in 2015 from the sand up! It is located in a quaint, quiet, residential neighborhood, home to some of the most beautiful and expensive homes on the bay and ocean fronts in all of Newport Beach.

I will start by saying this is a great location. The house is fine, cheaply done, but clean enough and ok.
Most importantly, there’s nothing worse than traveling all day and having to make up all of the beds upon arriving. I’ve NEVER had to make up our beds when arriving at a VRBO. Also, the sheets were awful, some of them were 100% polyester, they were thin and none of them were comfortable. One of the sets had stains on them and the beds were very uncomfortable. What bothered me the most was after reading the description on VRBO about the fact you need to bring your own towels and linens and that the sheets “weren’t 4 star”, I contacted the manager and asked if this was really the case? She assured me there were sheets and they were of the quality of something you would purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond or Macy’s and they absolutely were not! Also, there were blankets provided but none of them were big enough for the beds except the twin beds. Part of being on vacation is relaxing and sleeping in a comfortable bed. These were anything but.
As mentioned in the description, supplies provided are extremely limited. Besides basic kitchen supplies, (dishes, utensils, pots and pans, Tupperware, etc.), there’s nothing except salt and pepper. There were 3 trash bags for a 7 night stay and a select number of dishwasher pods. For the bathrooms there were 4 bath towels for 4 people for 7 nights so we had to wash them. There was one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no bath soap or shampoo or conditioner. For the washer and dryer there was a limited number of laundry soap pods and exactly 3 dryer sheets.
We did appreciate the beach chairs and beach toys provided.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we’d stay here again. I don’t want to make up my own beds upon arrival of a vacation, nor do I want to travel with a suitcase full of sheets. If you don’t mind making your own beds or bringing your own sheets and shopping for all of your basic necessities this place is ok.
