About this farm stay rental
Are you looking for the perfect ski house? This is not it! This is an affordable cozy country home that sleeps 6. It is 6 miles from the slopes and 4 miles from Ellicottville. It is clean by "most" peoples standards. It is not a 4 star hotel. We offer 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, wood burning fire place in living room, electric fireplace in each bedroom, first floor laundry facilities and ski storage. we have clean linens, ( new LL Bean sheets and quilts!)comfy mattresses, firewood is provided, games, books, videos, flat screen TV with basic cable Netflix, and free internet service. off street parking with snow plow service. Outdoor fire pit and grill also available.

Located 4 miles from the center of Ellicottville, 6 miles from the slopes and golf courses at Holiday Valley, and Holimont ski resorts. 18 acres of private wooded land for hiking and snowshoeing.Primary bedroom boasts a private bath, electric fireplace,television and sitting area.

In very cold weather, sub freezing, the kitchen water supply may freeze, You can still get water from bathrooms and utility room for dish washing and cooking. hopefully Fixed!
3. Upon your arrival you may find dormant flies and lady bugs around windows. this is a common occurrence in eville rural areas. The house is clean! they just find there way in and then go dormant. they should be vacuumed before you unpack if they are present. a hand vac and normal vac are provided.
4. We have well water, which has a sulfur odor. it is clean, and inspected, and full of great minerals. we do offer a water cooler for drinking and cooking.

This lovely two-story farmhouse, which is currently in the process of renovation was ideal for our weekend stay for a ski getaway. It is just minutes from the slopes and was very comfortable. VRBO has this listed as a pet friendly property, but the rental rules and agreement say that pets are not permitted. We were traveling with our small cockapoo, so if you're looking for a pet-friendly unit, you should probably clarify this with the owner. Great location! Great value!

Although dated, the house had everything we needed and was well stocked. The washer/dryer was a great bonus for us. We had a great time playing in the snow and exploring the property behind the house. However, we were concerned about some pieces of metal/nails and such outside, especially with our two kids. With the snow, we had no idea this debris was there until we wore down a path enough to see it. We also had a hard time getting into/out of the driveway with the dirt (which became mud with the rain and snow). Without 4-wheel drive, we would have gotten stuck for sure. The property will definitely expand its appeal once the dilapidated shed is cleared. Overall, we made great memories here and will remember our children's first snow trip for many years to come.
