About this house rental
This home has AMAZING ocean views and is situated directly south of Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon. Private steps to the beach and an outdoor shower make it easy to enjoy the sand, beach and waves. The sound of the waves is hypnotic and audible at night with a window cracked open! It sleeps a maximum of 10 people.
When you enter through the front door (on the main floor) there are fantastic views maximizing the open floor plan for the kitchen, dining room and living room. The living room has a new 55” OLED TV, and the wall of cabinets is full of games, books and puzzles. The main floor has hardwood floors throughout, a large comfortable couch and chairs, a dining table that seats eight comfortably with the ability to squeeze in a couple more chairs/stools, a fully equipped kitchen including a double oven with convection and air frying capabilities, and a beautiful patio/balcony off the kitchen/living room with a barbeque on the deck. The deck extends from one side of the house to the other, giving additional space to enjoy the ocean views and fresh air.
The main floor has three bedrooms: Primary Bedroom has a king size bed and a private bathroom and deck. Second bedroom has a king size bed, and the third room has two twin beds. Downstairs leads you to a laundry area, an additional sitting room with a fold out couch queen mattress with a full bathroom and small partial kitchenette. Downstairs has an additional bedroom with two twin beds each having another twin trundle bed under them. Through the bedroom there is a game room with a pool table, foosball table, big screen TV and comfortable seating around the room.
We are close to many hiking paths and state parks. Downtown Brookings is about 1 mile away, a 15 minute walk. There are bike paths, too! Brookings has many great restaurants and stores (both large and small!) to shop in. Or, go fishing!

We've been renting on the coast at / near Thanksgiving, with extended family, for the past 16 years, generally with ocean views / beach access. The Harris Beach House is at the top of the list for both. The home easily accommodated two families with 3 adult children. Clean, well-appointed and convenient beach access. Great views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And great weather enhanced the visit. We highly recommend this VRBO.

We did not have a host to welcome us, but we did not expect or need one anyway. We had a wonderful time, and the house did sleep everyone. However the downstairs beds were not comfortable according to the women who slept there. The kitchen was quite disorganized and several of the cookware were scratched on the teflon. It is obvious many guests leave kitchen items that just remain. The view from the house was extraordinary, and we really enjoyed that. The beach access was also a plus. Kitchen appliances worked very well, dishwasher was super quiet and efficient. The living room furnishings and TV were all very comfortable and we used this area a lot. There were not enough water glasses. We could have used double the number. All in all it was a lovely stay for us. Thank you.
