In the most beautiful part of the Tarn Gorges, our house is located on top of the typical village Malene. This detached house, adjoining the house of family holidays, will welcome you for a stay relaxing and discovering the region. Ideally located in a nature preserve, guests can enjoy many activities: starting point of the "Descent of the Tarn Gorges boat with the Bateliers de la Malene," or in a canoe, numerous hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking ...
You will also visit many remarkable natural sites, such as Dargilan Cave, Aven Armand, the Bramabiau abyss, the chaos of Montpellier le Vieux and the famous plateau of Larzac, the extraordinary Millau Viaduct is within 45 Kms .
In the village, you will have at your disposal various shops: Bakery, butcher, grocery store, bar-restaurants, pizzeria and benefit from animations during the summer season.

Such a lovely welcome from the owners and such warmth and kindness. The cottage is perfect for a couple - very private with a lovely private garden too. Very comfortable bed and we were offered home grown tomatoes and truffle butter. Beautiful little town too with a local shop, bars and restaurants. If you like wonderful scenery along with local river swimming with a low key and friendly vibe - this is for you. We thoroughly recommend it. We would

Sadly our stay in La Malene was a bit of a disappointment. The weather was not very good so we left early as the appartment was small and not the most comfortable. It was, however, in a great location for exploring the area and, had the weather been better, we could have taken advantage of the outside space and the lack of space inside would not have mattered. Our hosts were delightful and La Malene is a lovely village.
