About this house rental
Small charming house, 'La Clouquette' is located a few steps from the castle, at the top of the medieval village of Castelnau-Pegayrols.
Completely renovated and very well equipped (free WIFI), it combines the charm of stones with modern comfort.
Its flowery courtyard is very pleasant and the house is well exposed and bright. You can park in front (or in a small car park 50 m away).
Everything is new, from the fitted kitchen to the bathroom ...
A wood stove pleasantly warms the living room.
Sheets are provided, please bring your towels.
Ground floor: living room / kitchen of 25m2, fitted kitchen /
2 seater convertible sofa / wood stove / LCD flat screen
Upstairs: 2 bedrooms / bathroom / separate WC
Bedroom 1: Double bed 140 cm
Bedroom 2: 2 beds of 90 cm or 1 bed of 180 cm (pull-out bed).
The village has 5 classified historic monuments (Unique hydraulic system in the world, 2 churches, Priory and Castle). The lakes of Lévézou (Pareloup) are 20 minutes away, as well as the Gorges du Tarn.
Allow 10 minutes for the Millau Viaduct, visible from the village.
Hanging on the southern slope of the Lévézou plateau, this village dominates with its 800 meters the magnificent landscape of the Muse valley and an immense panorama over the Causses which stretches as far as the eye can see, from the Cévennes to the Montagne Noire. The pink sandstone village, built as a fortress around its castle, has remained almost intact behind its ramparts. The castle, one of the oldest fortified castles in Rouergue, the two grandiose churches and the magnificent priory bear witness to the splendor of Romanesque art.

Le gîte est spacieux, l'accueil est sympa, le village est très beau et les environs sont magnifiques. Un endroit à recommander.

Village is great but don’t expect anything to be open. 30 min drive into Millau for nearest supermarket/ restaurant etc. Great as a base to go exploring from, had a great stay, just shame about the restaurant/ bar/ shop only being open it seems when the owner could be bothered
