We absolutely loved our stay—this place truly felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect setup for our family, with plenty of space for my mom and three kids to relax and enjoy themselves. The private walkway to the bay was an incredible bonus—we practically had the whole bay to ourselves! One morning, we spotted a group of seals lounging peacefully on the shore, and the next day, we discovered crabs during low tide. It was such a magical experience. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we’ll definitely be hoping this gem is available again. Highly, highly recommend!

This rental home in Silent Bay is a fantastic choice! Located in a quiet neighborhood, it offers easy parking, even with some tree sap. The house is well-maintained and equipped with plenty of cookware for your meals. The comfortable couches are perfect for relaxing, and the views are stunning. It’s just a short 5-10 minute walk to Pelican Brewing and the beach, making walking a delightful experience!

We arrived at the property on Friday night. It's a good thing I checked the street view from Google maps to find the driveway. The house is set back on a flag lot and the street number is partially blocked from view. Upon entering, there were many signs and instructions to help us figure out the quirks of the house. The oddest thing is that the fireplace was run by an old thermometer and needung to set it to 80 degrees to turn it on. The microwave was so old that you turned a dial to turn it on and set the cook time. The couches were so old that you sunk into them. They did have a flat screen Roku TV though, which was nice, but no cable to watch current events, like the Olympics.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed that was old. It was squeaky and the two of us sunk toward the middle, which made it difficult to sleep entirely through the night. The TV was an old tube TV with a small selection of DVDs.

The bathroom upstairs had a great, powerful shower head, but the toilet was sized for an elementary school child. Neither of the night lights worked in the bathrooms, making late night trips to the bathroom interesting.

Another room had a queen sized bed and a third room had a futon and triple bunk bed, with a small loft area that I guess is there for kids to hide from their parents.

Half of the light switches didn't seem to do anything, so you had to manually turn on a lot of the lights. Most of the outlets were old and couldn't securely grasp our chargers.

The backyard was semi private, with trees backing the yard. There is a trail from there to get to the bay if you'd like.

Overall, a good location that's just a mile away from Mo's and southern Lincoln City. The house definitely could use some updating to make it much more comfortable for guests though.
