About this house rental
Small country house in the immediate vicinity of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and Marcialla on the slope of a hill, in a panoramic position. The property consists of a villa (ITC957), a farmhouse slightly below (ITC958) and a more secluded former barn, which has been divided into 2 small apartments. Large common green area with inviting swimming pool located near the property driveway and bordering the road. There is the possibility of beautiful walks and purchase of farm olive oil, wine and vinsanto. The well-equipped cottage is furnished with comfortable furniture. ITC957: The basement (independent one-room apartment) is used by the owner for storage and only on Saturdays for receiving guests. The name of the town, Tavarnelle, indicates that already in Roman times there was a tavern in this place, which provided refreshments and lodging to travelers when they were on the roads between Florence, Siena and Rome. The surrounding countryside here is particularly rich in historic churches, buildings and farms. Mountain bike lovers have the opportunity to participate in guided excursions and discover the Chianti area. Cooking courses, cake design courses and wine tasting can be organized on request. Information on prices and times directly on site. However, during the months of April, May and June, during your stay at the house ITC957, you can take advantage of one of the following additional services of your choice, free of charge: Cooking course, which will take place directly in your apartment and will include the preparation of two typical Tuscan dishes, such as "pappa al pomodoro" (Tuscan bread soup with tomatoes) and "cantuccini" (pastries). You can eat the dishes afterwards and you will also receive a copy of the original recipe; walk along the famous "Via Francigena". The owner of the house will accompany you by car to the starting point of the itinerary, you will then walk together for about 15 km in the footsteps of the pilgrims with magnificent views, and after reaching the destination you will be accompanied back to the apartment; Hike across the countryside followed by a wine tasting in a local wine cellar; Half-day excursion by mountain bike accompanied by one of our staff. If you do not have your mountain bikes with you, you can rent them on site. On request and payment on site: Access to a small wellness center (1 km away) with sauna, Turkish bath and massage room. Please inform the landlady together with the arrival details also about the additional service you have chosen.
