The hotel is quite modern and it's located near a huge shopping mall and not that far away from a metro station.
The mall itself is filled with nice shops and restaurants, which is a plus.
The rooms are large and are very clean.
Lastly, the bar/restaurant is quite good, with western and asian food options.
As I mentioned in the positive, despite being "close" to a metro station, it's not straightforward to get from there. There are barely any signs pointing to the hotel and the shopping mall is actually divided into 2 buildings, meaning it's kind of a maze to get to the hotel. It took me more than 45 minutes walking because I got lost and I'd strongly recommend putting up a few ads or signs inside the malls indicating which way to take to get to the hotel.
About the rooms, depending on which side your room is on, you have to close the curtains and not just the shades, otherwise anyone walking from across the opposite hallway will be able to see you through them if the lights are on. Considering I was able to see pretty much all of the people occupying the rooms, it seemed that a lot of the guests were not aware of this issue.
I tried to iron my clothes on the designated room (on the 3rd floor, I believe) and none of the clothes iron had any water in them, so I had to go back to my room, pick up a water bottle and fill the clothes iron up. Then, as I was using it, it produced a huge amount of steam and I noticed there was a fire alarm directly above the clothes iron, which I have no idea how it didn't go off, so I had to stop ironing my clothes, because I feared if I continued, it would probably go off.
Lastly, the breakfast was honestly subpar. There was not much variety at all and the options were mostly catered towards Asian guests. Considering there were a lot of foreigners, I'd expect to be a bit more options of food, as it's the case with a lot of hotels not just in Shanghai but in many other cities in China.

The breakfast is very good and lots of choices. The location is very ideal as the mail is beside it. The Hoqiao airport is just 10-15 minutes away.
The room is quite small and even the toilet and bath is too small. Maybe because the price is very affordable

I was given a room with a window.
The most important information about my room was included in the very end of the description on the Booking app. This is deceiving tactic, because had I known that my room was with window looking "in to the inner courtyard" I would have never book it. This, so called "inner courtyard" is nothing else but a window into an inner space of the hotel, and when you pass by this space you can clearly see every single guest in such windowless room. So, no privacy at all!
I complained at the reception and they gave me the room with normal window looking outside for the same price. But, if you look on Booking.com you will se that the room with the window is significantly more expensive. But, since it is a small and plain room it is not worth that money just for having something so basic such as a window.
So this manipulatiin with the type of rooms and prices is what is so dishonest by the hotel and by the Booking.com.
