About this house rental
With family or friends, we offer a cottage for 10 people in the bay of Mont Saint Michel, in Saint Martin des Champs (50300) near Avranches.
The cottage is in the countryside, in a quiet village.
Completely renovated in 2018, we have brought together 2 houses in 1 alone to offer you a 145 m2 gîte with:
-on the ground floor of a living room of 45m2 including an equipped kitchen area and a dining area, TV lounge, WC
-on the 1st floor: 2 double bedrooms with 140 cm bed, 1 bedroom with 2 x 90 cm beds, 1 bedroom with 1 bed 90, 2 bathrooms with double sink; 2 toilets; a relaxation remedy; a room with table football; a TV lounge
- on the 2nd floor (attic): 1 double bedroom with 140 bed; 1 bedroom bed 90.
Baby welcome
Garage: washing machine, dryer, sink, ping-pong table
Enclosed garden, garden shed with picnic table, barbecue, bowling green, terrace, garden furniture, private parking.
Bikes and motorbikes welcome (concrete garage)
Possibility to hire towels 5 € / person and hire bed linen 10.50 € / bed
Possibility of end of stay cleaning: 80 €

Weekend prices on request (except school holidays): (2 nights minimum)
2 nights: 280 € (+ 20 € heating from October to April)

We stayed in Laurence's lovely gite as a family of 4 with our friends so there were 4 adults and 4 teenagers. We found the place was extremely well equipped and really spacious, so much so that each of the teenagers were able to have their own bedrooms and their own lounge area with a TV to watch and game on.We made good use of the table tennis table in the garage and barbecued in the garden and sat round the lovely big table for meals and games most evenings.The gite is really well located and we had days out in Mont St Michel, Mortains (waterfall walk), Fougeres (castle), Granville (beach), Pontnorson, as well as a day in Avranches. It feels really rural but there are 6 or 7 supermarkets within about 5 minutes in the car.Our only slight disappointment was that the fire/log burner wasn't in use as this was one of the reasons why we chose this gite knowing the weather might not be great as we were visiting at Easter, so perhaps the property details should be updated to indicate this. The gite was still very cosy as there are wall heaters throughout which work well.Overall we would highly recommend Laurence's gite and would certainly return if looking for a gite for 8-10 people in the area in the future.

Our family had an excellent holiday at the house. The owner met us and showed us around. Her rhubarb tart she made us was amazing. She gave us information of a locak festival which we really enjoyed. The house was full of extras from games to kitchen equipment and some ingredients. It is situated near supermarkets you could drive or bike to. We found lovely beaches 40 mins away. We enjoyed a walk and bike rides around the area.

Laurence is a very friendly and helpful host with nice recommendations for local events and destinations. Avranches, Mont St. Michel, St. Malo and other famous destinations are nearby and the landscape around the house is beautiful. We used the boule lane, the fireplace for a barbecue and the peaceful terrace a lot.
Absolutely recommended.
