The property exceeded expectations, centrally located, nicely furnished and clean.
The owner was extremely helpful, giving us some good recommendations for food and local amenities. Ghent is a lovely place to visit and the accommodation was just perfect!

The house is in a central location close to the river with a supermarket nearby. On the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen diner with a dishwasher and a sitting area with a large TV.
We were unfortunate to stay when the weather was exceptionally warm. The property does not have air conditioning so the two attic bedrooms became very hot making it difficult to get much sleep even though Bart kindly provided two brand new fans after the first night. The front door, windows and downstairs roof-light were all open when we arrived so mosquitoes had entered and we sustained multiple bites. Although we arrived two hours after the check in time, the property was not ready and the floors were not clean.
There are really only two bedrooms as the third "bedroom" is just a sofa bed on the open plan first floor. It is not very comfortable or private as you have to walk through this room to access the single bathroom and attic bedrooms.
There are two steep open tread stair cases which are potentially dangerous for young children and older guests.
