We always look for out of the way, quiet and yet well situated places from which to explore the surrounding area. We enjoyed our little hideaway very much.

The apartment offers everything you need and the host is atmost accommodating and quick to answer any reuqest.
What could be a language barrier (for english speaking guests) before is rather easily solved by google translator. Also, bear in mind, the location of the property assumes either short commute to the beach/centre if you will want to avoid the hike down/uphill or walking for about 18 minutes down and 25 minutes up the hill, if you want to avoid hassle with trying to find parking for your car. Overall this is very good place for what it has to offer for the price you pay for it.

Levanto is a beautiful town and a great base for exploring Liguria (including the Cinque Terre). Michaela’s apartment is about a 20 min walk outside the centre of town, which might not suit everyone but we found the area really peaceful and it had beautiful views at the apartment and on the walk up. The apartment wasn’t massive but had everything we needed, and most importantly had air conditioning. Michaela was a wonderful and generous host- her daughter drove us from the station to the apartment when we arrived, they gave us some fruit they had grown and eggs, and offered us lifts from town in the evening if we wanted (we took up this offer once and appreciated it a lot). Michaela also booked a taxi for us on our last day to take us to the station. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here!

This must be our 7 or 8th visit to Levanto and to Michelas apartments. Michela is a lovely host and always a pleasure to meet. They are a little way into the mountains. An easy and enjoyable 1.5 kilometers to the town. The walk back is more demanding but we did it and we are over 60. Stunning views which make the walk worthwhile. There are a number of local buses which will drop you outside the apartments. Levanto offers a great place for a range of things to do. Hire bikes and cycle to the next town Bonnasola through old railway tunnels. Catch the boat along the Cinque Terre. Swimming at a variety of beaches, walking through the countryside or sitting in your favourite beach bar watching the sunset. Lots of good eating places and all very reasonable. The town isnt just a tourist resort. It is a real lively place with bands playing in the street and locals getting on with their lives.
