Mansion - Talloires

We had a great stay at eric’s house. Property manager was lovely. The house is spacious. Well equipped kitchen and laundry. The best part is sitting on the balcony at night and watching the lights of Annecy in the distance and amazing mountains

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property. I took a bit of a chance on it, having not seen any testimonials from previous renters, but everything turned out fine in the end. Eric was very easy to work with, responding to my queries promptly and even offering to make alternate arrangements to secure the deposit when it looked like an international wire transfer would be too expensive. The house is well equipped, but I would suggest that a microwave oven would be useful, particularly for guests with small children. I would also have preferred to see an orientation dossier and a reference sheet, explaining the things I needed to know about the house such as where the garbage bins were and how recycling pick-up worked. We were left to figure out a lot of these kinds of things for ourselves. To be fair, the person who was due to give us the orientation could not come on the day that we arrived - perhaps these questions would have been addressed. We also would have preferred to have known up front that linens and towels were not included in the rental. Fortunately we learned of this before we left, so we packed our own. However, it would have been more helpful to have this seen this stated in the original advertisement. The Lac Annecy region is very beautiful. We heard many locals tell us it is the most beautiful area in France, and I believe it. The house is in Rovagny, a small settlement about 10 minutes from Talloires village towards the Col de la Forclaz. It is a very nice area, but also very rural. I would stay at this property again and would recommend it to others. The views of the lake are phenomenal and the house is well situated to explore many of the attractions in the region. We hope to return to Annecy soon!
