I am writing to report multiple problems from my stay from the 28th March 2026 for two nights. 1. Room heating: The heating in our room did not work. After several requests, a staff member who did not speak English attended but could not resolve the issue. The manager later provided a portable heater, which finally warmed the room. 2. Food vouchers: We purchased food vouchers of 100GBP, but the hotel’s system did not record them well. Therefore, each time we attempted to use the vouchers we needed to check with many people and claim our discounts as well, and i5 was exhausting, and many don't speak English or said they do not know about the system and were unable to help. After best efforts to handle all these communications, which we thought we managed, we are frustrated and disappointed that at checkout we were nevertheless charged by over 50GDP+, despite presenting the vouchers. It is only after explanation with the staff that she handled it and said that it would be refunded to us within the next 2 to 3 days. 3. No room cleaning: We have requested for and followed up three times over make up of our room and no one came when the reception said they sent to request and staff would come. And when we asked the 4th time, a new receptionist on duty said it is our problem because we never put a sign out side our room. We are tired of all these stupidity and clean our room ourselves. 4. Service and communication: Many staff members did not speak English and several appeared uncertain about how to handle our requests. This made resolving the problems difficult and left us dissatisfied with the level of service. They all said the system is new and they do not know how to work it. Aftermaking complaints to head office of Village Hotel, Village Hotel Watford still emailed and said they have made our room when the room has not been made, whihc is not cool. Their adamant denial to accept feedback drove us to write to VIllage Hotel's headquarters again and we hope there could be changes. Gym is excellen.

If you're visiting the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, this hotel is ideally located – just a short drive away, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel was easy to find, with clear signage and accessible parking (just £5 per day, which is a real bargain in this area). We stayed in a twin room, which was clean and comfortable. The shower was good. The only downside from a personal point of view was the lighting in the room, which felt quite dim even with all the lights on. The hotel has a lively, busy atmosphere, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a good variety, with something to suit most tastes. We didn’t try the restaurant in the evening, but it looked popular and had a nice ambience. Overall, a convenient and comfortable option, especially if you're in the area for hospital visits

We arrived at the hotel on the 20/12/2024. We checked in only to be told the room booked is not suitable for a family even when I called the hotel and they said it would be fine and that they would put a pull out bed for my little one. They said I need to move room and pay £25x2 because of the extra bed the child is 4 years old. The staff were no welcoming and I found them very rude at time. The night staff were excellent. On day f checkout I wanted to canvas the breakfast as my son we poorly so we couldn’t make it and again I was told NO. I am not happy with all the extra charges and the lack of communication. I don’t think now I will be using the Watford villiage inn again with the experience I have received and the extra charges involved
