The temporary closure of bridge cause some transportation issue, but can still go to town on foot easily.

Good points: spacious room, 24 hour gym Bad points (sorry this is going to be long and i hope it will be my first and last very negative review on Agoda). Maybe my expectations were high. So stating the points for those booking to see if these would be issues for them too. 1 ) Room had poor ventilation. There was barely any aircon coming out of the central aircon system. The room was very warm and echoey. We didn’t sleep well on the 1st night and had to request for a fan in the room for the rest of our stay. 2 ) Housekeeping is tardy, zero pride in their work and totally not 4.5 stars standard. (a) Bed is made but lack of effort with a big dent in the middle on the bed and pillow as if someone had laid on the bed. On one of the days, the pillow looks like it’s just thrown onto the bed (really tardy) (b) toilet roll was 1/4 left when I checked in on day 1, hand soap 1/5 left, shower foam 1/3 left. That’s totally ok if they pay attention to top it up when it’s finished. However it was not the case despite me leaving a note for housekeeping to top it up. (c) When the tissue box was finished, the cleaner just disposed off the empty box and didn’t give us a new box. I had to call the reception to request for the soap, tissue. (d) My international adaptor was broken when I came back to my hotel on my 2nd last night. (e) Cups were not washed. I’m totally ok with this but expected more from a 4.5 stars hotel. 3 ) Receptionist staff (the 2 males receptionist for the night shift) had poor service attitude (a) The phones to the receptionist were ignored. I had to go down to the reception for my requests for the above issues. (b) For the poor room ventilation, the receptionist just kept saying nothing could be done about it. When I requested him to come to the hotel room and have a look and see if they can help open the window that was locked, he was reluctant. After much persistence, they relented to see the situation in my room and insisted ventilation was good and nothing could be done about it and did not offer any helpful solutions. I had to request for a fan before he acceded. (c) This is the most infuriating point issue for me. When I show the receptionist my broken international adaptor and said that I got back to my room at night and found my adaptor broken. The male receptionist said this could not happen, their housekeeping would not normally break things. I had to show him photos of the broken adaptor (before I unplugged) and said that I could not charge my phone now that my adaptor is broken. He handed me the hotel’s adaptor and said I could take “another one” (their adaptor) and tried to dismiss me away and looked away from me and tried waving me off. I had to emphasise that it is not taking “another one” and the broken adaptor is my own. He asked to take my adaptor and said he will ask the housekeeper but did not get back to me. Happy to share some photos if Agoda or the hotel would like to look into the review further.
