Overall good enough for me. Not sure if I would rate it as 4 star, but the rooms were good size, clean and decent bathroom. Location was good, right by Metro but a short walk to beach. We were in Rio for carnival so only used it as a base to sleep and it was absolutely fine for that. We did not use the pool or gym so cant comment. The breakfast included was nice and with enough choice for me. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful despite my lack of Portuguese.
The only minor complaints would be:
Rooms were not cleaned and new towels/linen not provided everyday.
There were no hooks anywhere to hang stuff particularly in the bathroom and only 1 waste bin in whole room.
Pillows were a bit thin for me.
Overall, I was happy as for the price I paid, it was fair and met expectation. But if the hotel experience is more important than just as a base, then you might be a little disappointed.

Cet hotel etait surement bien dans les années 70 . Tout est defraichi. Notre chambre donne sur un immeuble. Il y a de grosses taches jaunes sur le couvre lit . Tout est très sonore .. l ascenseur sonne a chaque fois qu il s'arrête à l'étage. La salle du petit dejeuner est minuscule les tables sont tres serrés pas evident de bouger avec sa tasse à cafe (d ailleurs tres mauvais ) la salle est tres sonore également. Les fauteuils de la terrasse à la piscine sont tout abîmé et la pisine st bien seulement sur la photo ... bref je ne recommande pas du tout ce choix .
