The hotel is nicely decorated, attentive staff, premium amenities and good location. One caution point, the facility is adapted from old building, no elevator. My room is an attic room, walking up 3 floors, and another floor for duplex bedroom. it was alright, just need to ensure you’re sober walking up and down.

Needed a place to stop that was 6 hours into our drive to Avignon and Beaune is the perfect city to explore. The Abbaye de Maizières is centrally located and provides a calm environment right in the centre of town.
The room was extremely comfortable and quiet, all beautifully furnished melding old and new. The bathroom was cleverly designed with shower and washstand in keeping with the unique style of the Abbaye.
There is a spa pool, but this only opens after 8am, which was a shame for us early risers.
Incredible breakfast spread, at a reasonable extra price.
All the staff were very friendly and provided a warm welcome.
No on site parking, but there's plenty of spaces within 100 metres. Worth noting the market on Saturday morning is right on the doorstep.
Worth another visit.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Very spacious, well-appointed room, friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast in a charming old building. The ancient passageways, lobby and circular stairways are really cool, but the stairs may pose a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, or carrying a lot of luggage (staff was very responsive to guests needing luggage moved up or down, however).
A couple things to note - it was very hot in Bourgogne, and our room's a/c struggled to keep us cool. Whilst the rooms are well maintained, the corridor halls and flooring need to be brought up to scratch
