About this apartment rental
This penthouse offers panoramic sea views from the large terrace, while you can sunbathe and relax in your unique place with lots of privacy. The owners have invested a lot of energy in the tasteful interior and terrace design. You live here 100 meters from the wide sandy beach, where it is never crowded, because it is located outside the center of Ostend. The streetcar stop is at the end of the street, so you can easily get to the squares and shopping streets of the city. Near the penthouse are also enough facilities for a nice vacation, bakery, supermarket, bike rental and some restaurants are within walking distance. The building has an elevator to the 5th floor. Stairs will take you to the 6th floor where the penthouse is located.
Ostend is also perfect for a visit to medieval Bruges, bike rides along the coast or a trip to the amusement park Plopsaland De Panne. There is a special coastal streetcar from Knokke to Panne, so you can travel through all the seaside resorts and dune areas, often with a magnificent view of the sea.

Das schlagende Argument für das Appartment ist die Lage. Vom Balkon hat man einen (seitlichen) Meerblick. In zwei Minuten ist man am Strand. Vor der Tür sind kostenpflichtige Parkplätze. 100m weg ist ein öffentlicher aber gut besucher Gratisparkplatz. Strassenbahn auch nur zwei Minuten entfernt.
Appartment direkt unter dem Dach. Aufzug bis in 5 OG, dann eine etwas enge Treppe. Keine Klima, aber wohl auch nicht nötig (habe eher die Heizung genutzt). Küche Top; 140er Bett OK. Bettwäsche und Handtücher muss man selber mitbringen oder leihe (Vorsicht: Nur eine "Kingdecke" vorhanden). Es gibt ein Ausziehsofa im offenem Wohnbereich. Ich finde das Appartment ist nur für max. 2 Personen - mir wäre es sonst zu beengt und das Bad inkl. Toilette ist am Schlafzimmer - mit einer Salloon-Tür (also offen). Typisches Appartment-Problem ist der Müll - es gibt kostenpflichtige Abfallbehälter direkt bei der Schlüsselausgabe. Direkt am Eingang gibt es einen Müllraum, der sich mit dem Hausschlüssel öffnen lässt - den soll man aber nicht benutzen.
Sauberkeit war nicht auf Hotelniveau, aber für ein Appartment noch ok. Es gab kein Toilettenpapier, dafür aber viele Haushaltsgeräte.
Tipp: Der Bäcker am Strand (spricht mehrere Sprachen, u.a. deutsch).
