About this apartment rental
This unique, quaint one-bedroom apartment is the perfect getaway for long or short stays in Assisi's city center.
The apartment is on the second floor of a 12th century newly-restored building, just a few steps away from the main square of Assisi, yet in a quiet and peaceful medieval backstreet.
The apartment is fully-equipped for long-term stays with a 4-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, ample assortment of dishes and pots and pans, washing machine, iron, hair dryer, A/C, central heating, television and fast-speed reliable WiFi. .
Our "Tranquil Nest" is suited for lone travellers or couples who wish to live Assisi's enchanting medieval atmosphere at its fullest - and take the time to explore nearby medieval hill towns, e.g., Spello, Spoleto, Perugia, Deruta, Bevagna, Montefalco, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno area.
Excellent local grocery store, butcher and fruit and vegetable market are just minutes away on foot, as is the Assisi tourist office (English spoken!). City bus stop to reach the train station is a 10-minute walk and a large covered parking lot is just 5 minutes away.
Our apartment blends modern amenities with Umbrian artisan traditions, from the artworks on the walls by local artists to the textiles in the bedroom. Creating “the nest” was a joy – and our main goal is to have our guests truly feel at home while in Assisi.
My mother Anne Robichaud, is a professional tour guide and as an American living in Italy for over 40 years, she can provide best suggestions to live Umbria at its fullest! We co-host this property together. I was born and raised in Assisi and live in the historic center with my family. I travel throughout Italy for work, if I am not in town we have an automated system for our guests to easily check-in on their own. When we can, we always try and be there to welcome you!

This Tranquil Nest was a perfect location to experience Assisi, especially in November when it is relatively quiet, there were still plenty shops and restaurants near the center open in the evening. Giulia is a great host, with good suggestions for arrival logistics and checking in during the week. Grazie Mille!

Giulia our host met us practically as we stepped out of our taxi at the main square. She walked with us to the apartment and gave us an introduction and tips on things to see and restaurants. The apartment is up about two flights of easy stairs and is located a three minute walk from the center of everything In Assisi. Cute and quaint the apartment is the best for a couple. We would stay there again.

Having stayed here in 2019 I couldn't wait to come back. Location is perfect to be in the historic center, restaurants are around every corner, coffee bars, gelato shops and all kinds of souvenir shops are right up and down the street. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and for long term travelers the washing machine is great. Owners are extremely helpful and know all the best places to visit in Umbria. Truly a restful nest to relax and enjoy your time in the beautiful city of Assisi.
