Go outside and spend your time in the yard at the picnic tables while making your favorite barbecue meal. Or arrange a raft trip that embarks or disembarks at the beach in front of the house.
Float lazily down the Rogue, hire a fishing guide, take a Jetboat tour or raft down Hellgate Canyon’s world-famous rapids. Or relax while watching geese, ducks, osprey, deer or an occasional bald eagle. Visit Crater Lake, the coastal redwoods or the Wildlife Safari (a 600-acre drive-through animal park) – each is about 90 minutes away on scenic drives. Go wine tasting in Applegate, Rogue Valley or Umpqua Valley to see why the Wine Enthusiast magazine calls Southern Oregon a “Top 10 Global Wine Destination.” Take in a play at Ashland’s world-famous Shakespeare festival. Go hiking in the nearby woods. Enjoy the quaint shops and restaurants of Grants Pass or nearby towns. Or just enjoy the fireplace while you watch the river.
