Welcome to La Vernède, a former hunting lodge that once belonged to the Reine Margot, a figurehead of our pleasant region : Auvergne's little Tuscany, in the natural park of Volcanoes.
Turned into a neo-gothic folly during the 19th century, our château is an amazingly peaceful haven... 6 kms from the A75 motorway and Issoire, 35 kms south of Clermont-Ferrand.
4 double guest rooms,1 suite (can be family room up to 3 persons), breakfasts & taxes are included in the price.
Enjoy the local gastronomy (chefs étoilés), discover Romane Architecture and enter our churches, castles, and fortified villages. Climb around lakes hidden in our sleepy Volcanoes. You can stroll in the gardens of the château and have a rest in the shadow of the big trees or along the river...

Leuke kamers (helemaal in stijl), lieve gastheren.
Wat beter kan: zitjes in de tuin, iets uitbreider ontbijt (nu alleen brood, jam, yoghurt en wat fruit).

Nous avons fait une étape enchanteresse, tant pour ce magnifique château chargé d'histoire que notre confortable chambre, l'accueil et la gentillesse de Laurence.
Une mention particulière pour les confitures maison 😋�
Nous gardons précieusement l'adresse et ne manquerons pas de la recommander.

Accueil très chaleureux dans un cadre familial.
La propriété est chaleureuse, le parc naturel nous fait voir de beaux arbres dans lesquels gambadent des écureuils.
Bref j’ai regretté de n’y passer qu’une nuit.
Nos petits enfants étaient très contents et ne cessent d’en parler
