About this house rental
Beautiful house for rent in the prestigious Monarch Beach Community, located directly across the street from the Monarch Beach resort. Resort like living, on the Monarch Links golf course and a short walk/bike ride to the beach. Best value if you are in town to attend a wedding, or if you are simply enjoying the beautiful weather. Enjoy the serene, relaxing benefits of being in an upscale gated community that far surpass staying in the popular condominium communities where it is loud and disruptive. Close to fine dining, Ritz Carlton hotel, Dana Point Harbor and Mission San Juan Capistrano. Both the St Regis and Ritz Carlton offer world class spas and gym amenities. Disneyland is a 40 minute drive. Two full bedrooms upstairs with private bath en suite and a den/bedroom downstairs with an adjacent full bathroom. Downstairs bedroom has a twin sized day bed with a roll out trundle that becomes two twin sized beds or pops up into a king sized bed. Laguna Beach Shuttle offers free transportation and has a shuttle stop at the Ritz Carlton hotel. Ritz Carlton and surfing spot Salk Creek beach is less than 1/8 mi. away. The Monarch Beach community is safe and secure in a gated area. Kitchen has all the amenities and there is a bbq grill in the spacious, beautifully landscaped backyard patio.

My husband and I recently spent a month here during which time our adult daughter and partner joined us for a few days and our adult son with his wife and two little boys joined us later in the month for a week. The house is very cute and well kept. The kitchen is incredibly well provisioned in terms of pots, pans etc. The lay out is very good with two fully ensuited bedrooms including a spacious master suite and the main floor has a large den with trundle beds and a cross hall full bathroom as well.
There were, however, a couple of negatives. The description of the property leads one to think that the home is close to the beach. In fact, while you could, conceivably, walk to the beach, it would be a long walk and the walk home would be a brutal up hill climb. In addition, the description suggests that the home is "across the street" from the Monarch Beach Resort. Technically this is true in that the development in which the house is situated is across the street from the far end of the resort. However, the house is located some ways up the hill from the security gate leading to the street and the actual entrance to the resort is a ways down the street - a bit of a hike if you are going to use any of the facilities at the resort. Both of those factors were a disappointment to us. That said, both the beach and the resort were a very short drive from the house.
The only other point I would make is that during the winter months, the patio area, which is large and well furnished, gets very little sun during the day just because of the position of the house.
Finally, I have to say that Karla is amazingly responsive and friendly and we loved the fact that we had a weekly cleaning service.

Casa Regina is the place we have called "home away from home" every year for the past 3 years. Truly a resort like experience. I'm not surprised that Karla has numerous repeat tenants (like us) because of the quality and care that she has put into her home that other rentals in the area do not even compare to. Already looking forward to our next stay. 5 STARS ISN"T ENOUGH!!!

My wife and 2 kids have been renting in this area for the last 4 years and this has been the best location we have stayed at so far. The property was beautiful and well maintained. It was in a great location, minutes from the beach, golf course and close to shopping and dining. The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, which is truly a luxury and not often found in most rentals. We highly recommend this home.

We spent the Summer at this spectacular home and it was perfect for our needs. The house was clean, spacious, and a wonderful place to stay while our home was being remodeled. The beds were very comfortable with luxurious bedding and the large kitchen had everything we needed, which was very appreciated! The neighborhood is nice and quiet and located close to the beach and bike trails. My husband golfed at the Monarch Links, which is only a few minutes away, while I spent time at the St Regis spa. Karla was gracious and always available to help us. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
