Sanderlay Guest House

The room was lovely and spacious - there were three of us and we had booked the quadruple room. Lovely view through the windows. You could open the windows also which was great - (I like an opened window during the night.) Very comfortable beds - great that we each had two pillows. Excellent picture on the TV though we didn’t watch it very much as we were out most of the day. A very spacious bathroom - excellent shower. Plenty of loo paper. Great breakfast, very efficiently organised- the porridge was particularly good. Tea and coffee facilities in the room (with biscuits!) was a very nice touch. Very quiet apart from lots of bird song - gorgeous.

There were plenty of towels - however, nowhere to hang them. Some hooks in the bathroom would be useful. Apart from the lovely lady who served us breakfast, we didn’t meet any of the proprietors which was a bit strange. Would have been nice to have a chat with local people ie glean local information about where to eat for example/ where best to fill up with petrol. Would also have been nice to have had access to the breakfast room, say, in the evenings - though I realise that this might be too difficult.

I loved that it was a short drive away from the town. It was quiet, peaceful & a beautiful view from our window.

Breakfast was good, very satisfactory. They accommodated my dietary needs for which I'm very grateful. I would have preferred A stronger cup of tea? But fruit juice did the trick instead.

It was a bit of a distance to the shopping area , as I was without a car. But I was quite happy walking. I suggest including information about the bus service or the walking distance for future clients who may not have vehicles. Thankyou so much for leaving a room key available for my very late arrival off the ferry. So very much appreciated. Thankyou

Was a good 15 minute walk from the main area. I enjoyed the walk but no shops nearby. Breakfast was lovely although they ran out of brown sauce but did get some for the following day.

I did not like the stingy duvet for the single bed, and I hated the fact I had booked a private bathroom and I had to leave my room and go next doors to a bathroom you could only lock from the inside.
