Get ready to really slip into coastal relaxation, as this brand new home in Olivia Beach has everything you'll need for a memorable vacation including two master suites, its own hot tub, three levels of living space for maximum privacy! Two entertainment spaces equipped with large TVs have a fully loaded cable line-up, including HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax, and you can log into your Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime accounts. When you want to venture away from home base a bit, the community offers a clubhouse with a gym, as well as a park with a playground, volleyball court, and picnic area. When it is time to settle in for the night after a full day of beach fun, the upper level of the home will be just the place to entertain the whole gang as the chef of the group whips up something tasty in the full kitchen.
This home is located between the park and the beach access point leading to a short walk to the spectacular local tidal pools. The desirable Olivia Beach neighborhood has its own beach access staircase, though you can also drive to more level, easier access north at Canyon Drive Park or south off of 33rd Street. While you're in town, check out Devils Lake, a calm expanse of water great for kayaking and swimming, or head up to the casino for a little gaming or a show.

We loved our stay at the Blue Bayou. Lots of windows and a nice open layout. The neighborhood felt exclusive and provided access to a nice beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the king beds really comfortable! Be ready for your workout though, 3 flights of stairs to get up to the kitchen & common area!

Pros: The house itself is very nice, quiet and lots of windows and light. 4 bathrooms is so nice to have and the bedrooms are very private and quiet, and beds are very comfy. The top decks have partial view of the ocean. Nice hot tub. Flat screen TV's in every room with great service. Gas stove worked great, loved that.
Cons: The quality of the furniture in the living room is pretty beat up, stained and the couch is a broken down pull out. I understand, with a rental it is going to get used a lot, but it was pretty uncomfortable to sit and watch a movie.
The kitchen knives are so dull, made it a challenge to cook. The BBQ had a half smoked cigar sitting in it, (pretty gross) and we could not locate a bbq brush to clean it, so we had to let it burn for a bit to clean it. The fridge leaked on the floor a few times while we were there. I reported it immediately first day, but no one came to work on it. I had to use kitchen towels to soak up the water. I looked around, but there was no cleansers for the counter tops, would be nice to have some Clorox wipes or some 409 or something.
The house is 3 stories, so like other reviews, it is a bit taxing to climb stairs, especially when packing in groceries, etc. Also, I wish there had been at least one lounge chair on the decks. Lastly, walking to the beach really wasn't an option unless you are an avid mountain climber. We drove to the beach access points each time. The driveway is steep, but parking next to the house is flat.
