About this cottage rental
The house forms with two buildings a closed very private courtyard. The decor is comfortable with romantic purpose. A spacious kitchen with every comfort, 4 bedrooms, a cozy lounge with fireplace, the veranda is the dining room and the same time passage to the swimming pool and garden. So the swimming pool has its own closed area. The garden also offers a wood barbecue area, sunbathing areas and seating. Relax in a rural area called the garden of France with a lot of culture and quality of life.

Very quirky french property. 3 bedrooms upstairs in main building with one in an annexe with its own small lounge & toilet. Large very well equipped kitchen. Great size lounge & dining area with ceiling fan. The pool is fantastic, heated perfectly and in a separate poolhouse. Its 2 metres deep throughout so be aware. Lovely garden & courtyards which can be used to sit in. Aswith many french properties you have to be prepared for local flora & fauna. We enjoyed Derek the bats flights in the evenings! Alfred & Ruth were fabulous hosts, very generous with their home grown produce and advice. The local wine was very much appreciated. Supermarkets about 15 mins drive away but had all you needed. Loved our holiday with our family. Do visit Terra Botanica and biopark zoo as our whole family from 3 to 69 had a wonderful time in both. About 1& 1/2 hours away. Chateaux were amazing as was the weather. Would stay again. Love this area.

Had a very enjoyable stay, lovely property but listing didn’t give the full picture. It does not have air conditioning (just one ceiling fan in conservatory), the listed restaurants nearby no longer existed or only open for lunch, rickety spiral staircase to two of the bedrooms and bathroom is downstairs only. However it’s an old property with thick walls so is naturally cooler, there are restaurants/shops 15 mins drive away and the pool is the best we have ever had in a holiday property (warm, clean etc). We only saw the host once when we arrived and he was very helpful. Very peaceful and well equipped property.

This is a lovely old house with many original features which has been restored and modernised without losing any of its charm or character. The owner lives next door and is very welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive. We found the house spacious, well equipped, comfortable and very nice and warm during a chilly week in early April. Outside there are lots of different sheltered and shady seating areas and the garden is fantastic for easter egg hunts! Surrounded by quiet roads and flat rolling countryside, it's in a great area for family walks and bike rides while the large deep indoor swimming pool is warm and inviting whatever the outside weather.
As a group which included very small children, we did find the layout of the accommodation a bit tricky because the bedrooms are accessed by three separate staircases and the main bathroom is off the kitchen.
