About this house rental
Welcome to Cable Bay in the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. Here, you are surrounded by beautiful beaches, friendly people and many fabulous sights all on your doorstep!
Cable Bay is great for swimming and also has the “lagoon” to the left which is perfect for the little ones or the less confident swimmer. You can also enjoy snorkelling and explore the rock pools at low tide then sit on the beach with some delicious takeaways from the local dairy. Lots to see and do :)
The beautiful and historical Mangonui township is just a short 5 min drive away. Here you will find a hotel, a number of eateries, tourism shop and a 4 Square all for your convenience not to mention a wharf if you want to try your hand at a bit of fishing. A market is held on Tuesday evenings with local produce and crafts all on the offering.
Coopers Beach shopping centre boasting a 4 Square, butchery, pharmacy and diner is only a 3 min drive away. You will also find a liquor store, “Dollarland” and sports/fishing store conveniently located across from the 4 Square. If you wish to do a larger grocery shop, Kaitaia township is a 30min drive west where you will find a Pak’n’Save and many other amenities normally located in a larger township.
Just west over the hill you will find the small settlement of Taipa which boasts the Ramada Resort with restaurant, a gas station, convenience store, fish’n’chip shop, bakery, tavern etc not to mention a beautiful long sandy beach and a safe estuary for the littlies. Further west you will find the turnoff to Tokerau, Whatuwhiwhi and Matai Bay all within 25 mins drive and well worth a visit.
So, whether you plan to just put your feet up, relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the deck or use the property as a jump off point to the many sights and day trips on offer, we know you’ll enjoy your stay at CBay Holiday Home……your home away from home!

Please leave your shoes at the door. Smoking allowed outside only. Families preferred but not limited to. No pets allowed. Limited off road parking for boats and trailers. All recyclables to be disposed of by tenant and council approved yellow rubbish bags (1 provided per tenancy) to be placed into wheelie bin at back of property by gas bottles.
Extras: Linen (included); Cleaning FREE - please leave the property clean and tidy as you found it :)

Great property that is well equipped to cater for a large group. Amazing location with easy access to both coasts for surfing and fishing.

Very nice place, awesome view to the beach. The rooms had some toys and board games to entertain the kids. The place does not have A/C, but you only had to open up the sliding doors to get all the sea breeze. Marvelous stay, Thanks Tina!
