About this house rental
Holiday house Samodol is made up of three parts with a joint entrance and separate entrances to each of the three apartments. The house is located in leafy surrounds and has two large terraces with natural shade and a pool. Each of the apartments has a separate bathroom, kitchen, dining room and living room. Two of the apartments are two bedroom apartments. Each of them has two double bedrooms with an extra bed in the living room. The biggest apartment has four bedrooms, six beds and an extra bed in the living room. On the terrace there is a large stone table which can be used for common dining. The two naturally shaded terraces provide full comfort for spending the day in the open. On the third terrace you can find a private pool which can only be used by the guests of the house. Each part of the house has a beautiful panoramic view of the sea, the beach and wonderful sunsets which you will surely take home with you as a fond memory.

We were a mixed group of 3 extended families, so the arrangement of 3 apartments within one villa worked well for us. The villa is located close to the town with lots of bars and restaurants. It's up a steep hill so you need to be fit! One thing to note is that many cafes and bars in Omis only take cash. Restaurants take cards but prefer cash. There are 2 beaches within walking distance, both with a good choice of beach bars. The town beach has an inflatable in the bay which costs 8 Euro a go. Brzet beach straight down from the villa was our preferred beach, and there's a convenience shop there too for drinks/snacks/ice cream. We hired a boat and captain for a day with Omis Speedboat, which was a great day out exploring Brac island and swimming spots. The villa itself was great and served us well. Small points were that there was no communication from Thomas prior to arrival but we messaged him. There is no bbq or toaster as described, in fact the kitchens are very sparsely stocked for self-catering. No sharp knives, graters etc. There is a shop very close by on the top road which is ideal for fresh bread in the morning, water etc. Overall the house was a great space for our mix of adults and teenagers who loved the pool (but we missed having a bbq!).

The owners were attentive and helpful. The villa was very clean. The views were beautiful and we all had a wonderful week. The children loved the tortoises in the garden and names them all! The villa was ideally set out for our group of 13 and we had ample space to spread out but also be together for meals, pool time, etc.The kitchen lacks basic essentials such as scissors and a toaster. The pool would benefit from a cover to keep the leaves out and the heat in. The villa has a lot of steps and is quite a steep walk to and from the town which is beautiful. Not a problem for us but the less mobile would struggle.We hope to return sometime. Omis is a hidden gem!

Utmärkt för ett stort sällskap där man vill ha både gemensamma ytor och även kunna ha avskildhet. Lugnt läge. Välskött uppskattad pool. Väl fungerande luftkonditionering. Trevlig värd.
Ända nackdelen var den hårt trafikerade vägen ner till staden. Kräver starka ben när man ska hem.
