About this villa rental
The Villa, which can comfortably accommodate 6 people, has 3 bedrooms, one of which is a mezzanine, an open plan kitchen with dining room and lounge, 3 bathrooms and laundry room. The large garden, equipped with a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by rocks and palm trees, (open from early May to late October), is the ideal setting for unforgettable moments of relaxation and fun. You can cook on the outdoor barbecue while enjoying the enchanting setting of the Gulf of Gaeta, then having lunch in the privacy of the garden. The Cottage is ideally located both for excursions to the nearby park of the Aurunci Mountains and for visiting the renowned Riviera d'Ulisse, with its wonderful beaches and the enchanting villages of Gaeta and Sperlonga. Just 1 hour away from Rome and Naples.
The Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Capri are also easily accessible.

I absolutely LOVED staying at Casale Poggi degli Ulivi. The house was adorable and the pool was extraordinary. I especially loved the star gazing at night…it was wonderfully romantic and relaxing. The beds were comfy, the grounds were lush and the hosts were lovely. Definitely stay here! I’m coming back!

The villa is very well located in the mountains but close enough to the coast. Formia is very pretty and we particularly liked Sperlonga with its little alleyways and shops and Geata. Our party learned to windsurf on the beachfront. The villa is lovely. It’s roomy with high ceilings. It’s superbly equipped. We didn’t need anything. There are lots of places to sit in sun and shade and the pool is beautiful. The hosts looked after a flower filled garden and were helpful without being intrusive. I would thoroughly recommend. We wish we’d booked two weeks.

We had a lovely stay, Diego was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and was very responsive. The villa is set in the beautiful mountains a mile or so outside of Formia with an amazing view of the sea and over to Gaeta.I would recommend asking Diego for a pin location to the property because our car sat nav couldn’t find it!

Diego (and his parents, Luigi and Suzi) were great hosts. Communication was good before, during and after our stay. Customer service was great, too.
The property is brilliant for a family of five: spacious and well equipped, with a quirky mezzanine bedroom. The pool is perfect for young kids to splash around in and the more-than-ample outside areas are brilliant for adults to watch on, Prosecco/Nastro Azzuro in hand!
The town of Formia has all the amenities you need and the nearer hilltop village of Maranola is beautiful and has a couple of bars overlooking the bay.
The location of the villa is amazing, with great views of the hills and the bay, over Formia to Gaeta and beyond. As well as relaxing in and around the villa, it’s easy to be a tourist based here too: there’s easy access to both Rome and Naples by car or train, with Monte Casino also less than an hour’s drive north.
My whole family loved this holiday and this villa made it!
Thank you Italy, it’s been a blast. We’ll be back!
