Le gîte Mona & Lisa est une VRAIE très agréable surprise ! Un lieu qui invite à la déconnexion totale, au calme et au lâcher-prise. Qui veut du calme le trouvera. Qui veut profiter d'un temps de lecture dans un hamac, d'un barbecue en toute sécurité, d'un apéro en plein air le pourra. Avec en prime la compagnie d'un petit écureuil fripon ! Nous n'avons que de positif à signaler ! Idéalement situé à environ 800 mètres d'Amboise, nous avons pu nous rendre au centre à pied, faire plein de visites et profiter du marché nocturne en rentrant. Pour un court séjour, si l'on ne veut pas faire trop de kilomètres, c'est idéal. Le gîte est parfaitement équipé, rien ne nous a manqué. Nos hôtes ont été présentes et discrètes à la fois. Que du positif on vous dit ! :-))
On a beau chercher, on ne trouve pas !! Juste très bien !

The place has big garden in the front where you can spend good time, and kids play area as well. And the dinning hall is well set up, lot of sun light to enter. It gives nice feel inside the house
The bed room head space is quite low. For people who are tall it will be difficult.

It was a charming little place to stay, very quiet, private and peaceful in a green residential area but only ten minutes walk down the hill to the town centre. Plenty of space to park on the road outside or on the drive inside the garden gate. the two gites and garden are completely fenced off from owner's house.
The kitchen was extremely well kitted out, and we enjoyed our stay very much, especially sitting in the conservatory for breakfast with a view over the garden and watching a red squirrel eating nuts off the tree outside the window.
There were no instructions as to how to get the key and how to get into the property. We rang the bell two or three times outside the gate of the main house where the owner lived. Eventually when there was no answer I opened the gate and went into the garden, and two little barking dogs came running and the owner leant out of the window and shouted that we should go out of the gate again. Not the best welcome. She then came out and showed us into the gite. She told us to just leave the key in the door at the end of our stay.
The other thing which was far from ideal was that the bedroom was extremely pokey in that you had to duck under a very low beam to get in to it from the ladder staircase. There was a double bed in it, but the person on one side couldn't sit up in bed easily because of an exceedingly low beam and ceiling. Anyone who is tall or not agile couldn't sleep up there.
