About this house rental
Our large longère style house ideally located in the residential area of Deauville.
5 minutes walk from the beach and close to shops, 10 minutes walk from the racetrack, and Place Morny, it has two gardens, one facing south and perfectly sheltered from the wind, with large garden table and parasols for meals, the 2nd sea side (sloping).
Perfect for large families with children, bikes, barbecue, beach toys and board games are available.
It has a very large living-dining room overlooking the garden and the terrace.
- 6 bedrooms (all upstairs):
- On the 1st floor:
- a large master suite with bathroom and adjoining children's room
- A single bedroom (120 bed) with dressing room and bathroom
- A large bedroom with double bed 180
- A bedroom with 140 bed + 90 bed
- The second independent floor accessible from the garden, offers
- a dormitory with 3 beds 90
- a double bedroom (140 bed)
and a bathroom.
Equipment :
- washing machine, dryer, family fridge, freezer. Oven, hob, microwave, toaster. Nespresso coffee machine + traditional coffee machine.
Cot and high chair on request.
- 4 Bikes available + a child bike
- Ping pong table
- Piano
The house is listed as a historic monument. The architecture and its long facade pierced with French doors that are charming, takes its origin in the late XIX, the period in which it housed stables. You will find here and there many nods to equestrian sports and horse racing.
It has been steeped in family history for 3 generations. We come there often. You will feel at home there.

We used the house to bed to bridgeteams 8 people in total, about the maximum for 8 individuals. Everything OK except the cumbersome entryprocedures and the precarious parkingsituation. The latter could be improved if the wooden fence could be repaired and opened giving room on the gravel for inside parking. neighbours have big cars and three in the alley is almost too much.

we loved the location of this house - the fabulous beach at Deauville really was just 5 minutes away, but the state of the house left quite a lot to be desired: the downstairs toilet didn't work properly when we got there and wasn't repaired very quickly, a cupboard in the kitchen had come away from a hinge and had had merely been propped up rather than sorted out - and there was old coffee in the glass percolator when we arrived. I gather this might be a temporary cleaning problem, but the whole place felt a little neglected, such a shame since it was basically a nice house. I've been quite kind in giving it 3 stars, at least in part because of its location, and we did love being back in Normandy.
