About this apartment rental
Well taken care of apartment which is located on the first floor of a beautiful indipendent Villa of only two units, set in a flower garden available to guests. The villa enjoys a fantastic view on one of the most beautiful views of Lake Como: the island Comacina. You can reach the island with a taxi service by boat stop in the local restaurant, which has hosted celebrities and actors of the show. The mild climate allows you to enjoy nice sunny days and cool nights. The apartment consists of a kitchen (complete with all accessories), lounge with fireplace, a bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin, bidet, wc, washing machine and a fabulous terrace where you can relax with a glass of wine. There are iron, WI-FI and a small bed for baby. Nearby, reachable on foot in just 3 minutes, beaches for sunbathing and swimming. Only 5 min by car, you will find a beach with swimming pool on the lake. Nearby: Restaurants, Cafes, Market, bank, tourist office. You can take boat to visit the wonders of the lake by lake or reach Restaurants: very romantic, not to miss! The whole area near the villa is available for charming walks in the typical vegetation meditterranean scents and colors.

We spent a week in June-July in Sala Comacina. Valerie and Daniele were caretaking, lovely and excellent hosts. We absolutely can recommend their apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful Lago di Como and surroundings on the west coast of the Lake. We really would love to come back again!

Very clean apartment on the second floor of a house. The host family lives on the first floor and is a very nice couple. The view is spectacular and all major tourist destinations are a short bus and boat ride away. It was an unusually hot week when we were there and the lack of AC or fans made it difficult at night. Overall a perfect family retreat.

If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the crowds, this is it. The apartment is immaculate and the views are spectacular. Our two teens enjoyed their room with the twin beds and my husband and I loved our bedroom with a view! The bed is very firm—too firm for my liking — but my husband was ok with it. The town itself has a small bakery just down the hill from the apartment plus a nice butcher and cheese shop. But you’ll need a car to get other supplies. We walked once to the nearest town with a grocery store (Lenno) and it was 45 minutes up and down steep cobblestone streets. In the car it’s just a few minutes.
You can take a ferry around the lake but the ferries can be very crowded—standing room only—depending on the time, so plan accordingly. We visited Varenna by ferry and it was gorgeous; the city is wonderful to explore on foot. Just wear good walking shoes! Another highlight was Villa Carlotta in the nearby town of Tremezzo. Well worth seeing both for the gorgeous art and architecture as well as the gardens! After touring the villa we walked along the lake front to a wonderful grassy lido and went swimming. Highly recommend!

The location was amazing. Great views, easy access to walking trails and the village center. 5 minute walk to a small bakery and a small market as well as several excellent restaurants. 20 minute walk to a larger village with even more options. Bus and ferry service close by and very affordable.
The hosts were very helpful. The property was quiet and peaceful. All in all - a perfect week for us.
