This was an old house in a small village on Como Lake. 5 minute walk to the lake from house and 3 minute to the bus stop. There were all facilities there: kitchen, bathroom with shower, towels, boiler for hot water, fire place.
First when we arrived the house it was cold, we had to switch the electric heaters on to warm the rooms and boiler to heat the water. The village is very small, no supermarkets there, but it is close to other places with supermarkets and restorants.

Great, huge, very nice decorated and comfortable apartament!! What we liked most:
1.Tipical italian house in tipical italian Village. So, if you want authentic italian experience, with narrow streets and old houses, this is the place. If you want room service and someone to carry your luggage, take a hotel. It is just different kind of tourism ;))
2.Great living room with kitchen, with fireplace!! and a great view on Como lake. Also with everything you need - coffee, spices, frige, etc.
3.The Greenway(walking path for 10 km throgh the villages nearby) it is starting near the house. If you are in good shape for moving around, this is a beautifull way to discover left side of Como!! I would say it is a must, with breath-taking views, beautifull nature, and nice talking with local people.
4.The silence. Colonno it is not a crowded spot. But if you want a place with many restaurants and shops, you can go in the towns nearby.
5.Max, the host, it is really kind, he gave us all the details about how to make an easy check in, about the good spots around, etc. Thank you, Max!
What it was a little bit challenging it was not about the house or the host - it was about the transport in the whole region of Como. If you rent a car you should be a really good driver! The roads are narrow and crowded! If you want to use the bus - the program it is not respected, sometimes you can wait one hour after the time announced, and it is pretty crowded. If the bus will stop... You can take the Ferry also, but it is not coming very often(in Colonno you have one in the morning and one in the afternoon). We choose for traveling a combination of bus and boat(ferry) and...it was not perfect, but it worked ;))

La struttura è bella e accogliente , dotata di tutti i servizi e ha una mansarda molto carina con vista lago .
La consiglio sicuramente per la posizione rispetto alle attrazioni da visitare nel centro lago dato che è vicina a Lenno da dove si può prendere il battello per i paesi del centro lago. L’host è stato sempre molto disponibile e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie in modo tempestivo.
Lontana dai parcheggi soprattutto per scaricare i bagagli ma il problema è del paese di Colonno e non della casa. Non la consiglierei a chi ha problemi a salire le scale ( divisa su 3 piani ripidi ).
Meglio geolocalizzare la posizione perché il paese di Colonno è molto antico con vie molto strette e soprattutto ha le strade senza nomi .
