About this farm stay rental
Bury Hill Farm, Winterbourne, Bristol is set within 8 acres of private grounds with a long driveway off a country lane, part of a small holding farm. Just 15 minutes to Bristol and 20-25 minutes to Bath.
The house is beautifully decorated and so much bigger than it looks in the pictures. The house is perfect for large families, special celebrations and we welcome well behaved Hen Parties.
Prices are based on 12, but we can accommodate an additional 2 for an extra charge. Please do not book the house if you intend to invite a lot of extra people as this is strictly against our rules. We will allow a certain number visitors, but this has to be agreed in advance. Message to discuss.
When checking dates there may be some flexibility with extra days, which can be added at a discounted rate, these may not show. If you send an enquiry I will be able to accommodate your needs. Stays are for a minimum of 2 nights.
The Holiday Cottage is surrounded by fields and is completely separate from the farmyard. With views of the garden and surrounding fields. It has a south facing, private, safe and secure fenced garden.
Fully furnished, all large bedrooms with plenty of space (not over crowded with too many beds to make up numbers. Room sizes are detailed below). The Holiday Cottage is perfect for large families or groups of friends wanting to stay away together and Hen Parties are always welcome.
**Hot tubs can be hired** from an outside supplier at a very reasonable price. We add £35 for taking delivery and arranging collection, heating and water.
Unfortunately, we can not accept all male groups. Although we do have many golf courses in the surrounding area and would consider hosting. Message in advance.
Easy access to the historic cities of Bristol and Bath. Avon cycleway minutes away. Ample parking for 8 vehicles. 3 pubs within walking distance, 2 of which offer excellent food. The availability calendar is updated daily.
We allow a maximum of 2 pets, very strict rules apply and need to be in crate (provided) overnight, a contract needs to be signed. A small fee is payable.
A refundable security deposit is required for all bookings £400, this is refunded 3 days after leaving. Access to the house will not be provided until this has been paid.

My friends and I had such an amazing stay at Clare and Barry's wonderful home. From the time of booking Clare was in touch regularly to provide information and check in so that all our needs could be accommodated. Check in was dead easy as Clare had sent lots of videos with directions and how to access the property. We travelled as three families (11 in total) and the house was so spacious and well designed that it never felt crowded or cramped. The house has everything we could have needed for our four nights and Clare was always on hand if we needed her help with anything. There were plenty of shops nearby (inlcuding those opened on New Years eve) but the house itself is quite private with lots of open space for the kids and dog to play in. We did a day trip to Bath close by! Clare's husband was incredibly accommodating and patient with our brood of 5 kids who visited the cows on the farm next door each morning. So much so they even got to bottle feed some of the new born calves. We were not entirely sure what to expect as we were aware that Clare hosted a lot of hen parties at the property but with a large dining table to accommodate all 11 of us for breakfast and dinner each day, enough comfy sofas for us all to relax in each evening and a cosy fireplace to keep us toasty over the Xmas break it was the perfect family getaway for us all. Thanks Clare and Barry for your wonderful hospitality and for the free farm fresh produce - they went down a treat with the troops!

We had the best stay at bury hill for a hen do of 12 girls. Clare was extremely accommodating and gave so much information prior to our stay on what was in the area, what suppliers were available, travel whilst we were there and travel to and from the house. Amenities were great and lots of room we all had a space at the table and in the lounge. Which was great for activities. There are three rooms in the 'attic' which lead through to each other we were absolutely fine with this and were advised prior and the bathrooms are on the floor below. The house was extremely clean and well kept. Clare was a great host and even popped and got us some milk. We visited in November to go to the Christmas markets, it was a lovely stay but I can imagine it being extra special in the summer with good weather with all the outside seating and large garden. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommended

Great base to celebrate my 60th birthday with family. Loved the spacious kitchen to eat in and BBQed in the garden one day.Great dining pub within walking distance. We visited Bristol a couple a times during our stay and it was very easy to get to.Would definitely recommend
